There are a number of great opportunities to get involved in the performing arts, regardless of age, ability and experience. Below is a small taster of what is available.

(Young People's live performance workshops). A great opportunity to come together to play pop, rock and musical theatre. Sessions are open to 8yrs and over and are great for playing in a band line-up. Practices take place monthly in Thornton Rust Village Hall – contact us to find out more.
Richmond Jam sessions take place at Richmond Youth Centre once a fortnight on Sundays between 10am and 5pm (break for lunch). Specialist tutors attend to support young people (11yrs and over) to develop their own creativity as a soloist, as part of an ensemble or as composers. The group are work towards regular performances and perform annually at the Georgian Theatre Royal.
(Hawes Amateur Operatic society)
A community performance group who welcome new performers from age 7 years and over to take part in their annual productions. Volunteers are required for all aspects of the production from back stage to scenery painting to costumes and makeup to sound and lighting.
